Nextep has been named The Best Place to Work in Oklahoma by OKCBusiness, the Oklahoma State HR Council, The State Chamber, the Greater Oklahoma City Chamber of Commerce and their partners. These organizations teamed up with The Best Companies Group to initiate the program, which is designed to recognize the companies and firms that excel in forming and cultivating exceptional workplaces in Oklahoma.
The Best Companies Group engaged workplace excellence consulting firm Modern Think LLC in the selection process, which was based on collected data and internal employee surveys. The criteria upon which each submitting company was judged included policies, practices and demographics. Criteria for eligibility required that a company be a for-profit business or organization, have a local Oklahoma facility and have 25 employees within the Oklahoma workforce.
OKCBusiness President and CEO Bill Bleakley and Best Companies Group President Peter Burke made the announcement at the Marriott Conference Facility in Norman on May 4. The finalists were broken into two categories: small company (25 to 199 employees) and large company (more than 200 employees). Nextep claimed the top spot in the small category, while Edward Jones took first place in the large.
